Large Plates and Platters

Redware pottery inspired by Pennsylvania German folk art made in Pennsylvania. The sgraffito technique scratches the design into the clay while it removes the layer of  slip to create Sgraffito ware, and the slip-trailing method applies the slip to the surface of the clay to create Slipware.  The leaf plates have the impressions of the back of the leaves, displaying the veining of each leaf.
